Please contact Shahlla, (details at the bottom of the page). If the 14 day itineraries are too long, there are 7 day itineraries available. If you would prefer a custom travel itinerary then this can also be arranged. Shahlla will organise all travel, transfers, excursions and hotel bookings.

For the adventure seekers!

Day 1: Galle - Weligama

Discover the coastal town of Weligama. Weligama Bay provides breathtaking snorkelling and scuba diving opportunities. An array of marine life such as turtles, sharks and manta rays can be seen. Also enjoy surfing lessons.

Day 2: Weligama

Drive to Marissa Fisheries Harbour and board a Catamaran for a chance to see blue whales, sperm whales, orcas, turtles, flying fish, and dolphins. In the evening visit Coconut Tree Hill for stunning views overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Day 3: Weligama - Udawalawe

After breakfast you will be transferred to Udawalawe National Park. The park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe reservoir and is an important habitat for water birds and elephants. In the evening visit the Elephant Transit home.

Day 4: Udawalawe

Enjoy a canoe ride on the lake adjoining the property. After lunch embark on a half day safari inside the national park.

Day 5: Udawalawe - Ella

Ella is the gem of the Sri Lankan highlands and is known for its stunning landscape, in particular, Ella Rock and the Nine Arch Bridge. The Nine Arch Bridge was constructed in 1921 under colonial rule. After snapping some gorgeous pics of the bridge you can trek to Little Adams peak. Here, you will be able to enjoy unique views of Sri Lanka's hill country.

Day 6: Ella - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, board the train from Ella to Nanu Oya (Nuwara Eliya). This is one of the most scenic routes in the world as it passes through hills and tea plantations. Nuwara Eliya is the heart of tea country located at an elevation of 1980 metres in the central highlands. While the day time climate is sub tropical, night time temperatures plunge low enough to produce frost.

You will be visiting Horton Plains National Park which is one of the best hiking locations in Sri Lanka with stunning sceneries. You will also be able to see Bakers Falls and Worlds End, (which is a point where the cliff comes to an abrupt end).

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya - Kithulgala

Visit Belilena, one of the most famous prehistoric caves in the country and holds the secrets of a lost generation from 12,000 years ago. If it interests you, please enjoy a white water rafting expedition afterwards.

Day 8: Kithugala - Kandy

Kandy was known as the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is now a world heritage site. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still loving kept. Once you are in Kandy, please enjoy a cultural dance show including drumming, dancing, music and fire walking.

Day 9: Kandy - Knuckles Mountain Range

The Knuckles mountain range is known for its scenic beauty as it passes through landscapes of changing terrain from cascading waterfalls to grasslands.

Day 10: Knuckles Mountain Range

Enjoy a hike inside the Knuckles mountain range sanctuary with a licensed naturalist. Afterwards, you can visit Meemure Village, one of the most remote villages in Sri Lanka.

Day 11: Knuckles - Sigiriya / Habarana

Enjoy a cooking demonstration followed by lunch. Afterwards, you will explore the famous 'Lion Rock' fortress. Built over 1500 years ago, this beautiful citadel lives 200 metres high. You can also view the famous paintings of the Heavenly Maidens which stand in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway.

Day 12: Sigiriya - Kalpitiya
