Joel and Mishelle’s journey began in 2020, when they first met at work. What started as a simple connection soon blossomed into a long-distance relationship as COVID kept them apart. Despite the miles, their bond only grew stronger, and in July 2021, they finally reunited in London. Their first holiday together in Cyprus marked the beginning of a whirlwind of adventures, from the stunning beaches of Fiji to the vibrant streets of Thailand, Bali, and countless unforgettable trips closer to home.

On December 28, 2023, Joel proposed to Mishelle in Geelong— the proud home of his favourite footy team. Not long after, they received the most incredible news: Mishelle was pregnant! Fast forward to now, and their family is complete with their beautiful son, Elijah Jude Murphy. With Elijah, Olive and Violet by their side, Joel and Mishelle continue to explore the world, hand in hand, as a family of five.
